Kai's Tinkerbell

Once in the small village in Lismore, there lived a boy named Kai. He was afraid of the dark. He thought that it's better for him to sleep outside rather than sleep in his dark chamber, because when he's slept outside he will be accompanied by the stars and the moon. Everynight before he went to sleep, he always staring at the sky through the window until he's falling asleep.

Far above the sky there was a star. It was the most beautiful star in the sky and it has the brightest light than the other stars. That star was Kai's favourite. The Star always paid attention to the boy every night and accompanied him in his sleep.

One day when Kai was alone in his house, the house's light was went out. He was afraid to death. He cried. The Star felt sorry to that boy and decided to come down to the earth but the Moon didn't allowed it.

"You can't go there" the Moon said.
"Why? I want to be there"
"That's not your place. You belong here"
"But he's afraid. I wanna go down to accompany him"
"Why are you so insist?"
There's no answer from the Star. The Moon sighed and then continued.
"Oke. I'll let you go. But there's a rule. When you're on the Earth you have to entrust your light to that boy so you can still alive. Once you entrust it, you can't take it back and you have to come back here immediately when that boy find his own star on his world." the Moon explained.
"Oke I got it. Can I go now?"
"One more. You can tell that boy that you're a star or you and your light will be diseppear right after you tell  him."
She began to hesitate. Nevertheless she diceded to go down to the Earth.
Transformed into a fairy, she met that boy.

"Hey why are you crying?" she asked.
"Who are you?" he asked with fear in his face.
"Don't be afraid. My name is Dio"
"You look like a girl. Why your name is Dio? It sounds like a male's name" said the boy chuckled.
"I'm a girl. Nevermind. It's just a name"
"You're not answering my question yet. And what is your name?" ask the Star continued.
"My name is Kai. I cried because I'm afraid of the dark. I can't sleep" he answered, start sobbing.
"It's oke. I'm here. I'll take care of you"
"Can you read me a story? My mom always read me a story everytime I can't sleep but now she's not home. And the star that I used to watched is not there"
"Well, what story you want me to read? Where is the book?"
"Peterpan. The book is on top of my desk. I love that story" said Kai.
"I'll read you the story but you have to stop crying"
The boy noded excitedly and the Star began to read him a story until he's asleep.

Day by day the Star always accompanied the boy in the night when he was sleeping. She always read him a story or sang a song. She has a beautiful voice. Since from that day, Kai wasn't afraid of the dark anymore bacause he has Dio's light inside him, still he needs the Star beside him.

The Star was always with him until he's grown up. One day, he told to the Star.
"There was a girl in my school. She's smart and kind. She's also friendly"
"Is she beautiful?" ask the Star
"Absolutely yes. She is"
"What's her name?"
"Krystal, Beautiful name, isn't it?"

After that, Kai always told the Star about Krystal, how beautiful she is, how kind she is, what was he did with her, and so on.

"I've confess my feeling" said Kai suddenly on the night.
"Krystal?" the Star asked.
"Of course. Who else?"
"Really? So what's her response?" she asked, curious.
"You will be shock. She accept my feeling. It turns out that during this time she also like me"
"Wow. That's great and yes, I'm shocked"
"Told you"
"Do you really love her?" ask the Star.
"Yes I do"
The Star smiled. Fake smile.

The boy has found his own star. The real figure in his world that will always be there on a day or night.
The Star realized that is the time for her to go. There's only two choice; back to the sky without her light or died on the Earth with her light after she told the boy who she is actually.
The Star didn't want the boy to lose her light so she decided to go back to the sky without told anything to the boy.

The next day, Kai can't found where Dio was. He kept calling her name but she's never appeared. He's felt so sad that he didn't know where she's gone. The one who always be his friend every night now has been dissepeared and the Star he used to watched wasn't on its place in the sky anymore.

That Star was still there. Far above the sky. The only difference was that she didn't shone anymore so the boy couldn't see it. The Star believed that one day Kai would forget about her and his sadness. He will found his happiness again.

She remember a quote in a story she used to read for Kai:
"Tinkerbell will always be a Tinkerell. She could never be a Wendy. Someday Peterpan will found his Wendy and live happily together, while Tinkerbell only watching them from a far"

The Star realized that she's Kai's Tinkerbell. 
That Star was always there every night. Watched that boy from a far without the boy knew who she is actually. Shining without her light.

Summary

My lecturer gave me another assigment for summarizing a passage. Here is it:

• The English wewe not the first Europeans to land their ships on America soil but the thirteen English colonies that would later be establish eventually became the United States of America.
• Sir Walter Raleigh sent an expedition team to found an English colony in North America led by Sir Grenville.
• When the English reached small island called Roanoke, the English thought that the Aquascogoc -the Native American tribe stole their silver cup and burned the Aquascogoc village.
• Because of they're hungry and didn't found silver snd gold, Grenville return to England and gradually abondoned his colony.
• When Sir Walter Raleigh dispatched a further expedition in 1587 they have a trouble with the Native American. John White, the leader sail back to ask for help and left his colonists and his daughter and granddaughter.
• When he returned to Roanoke three years later after preparing for a naval war, he can't found his daughter, granddaughter, and his colony.
• No further trace of the lost colony has ever been found and no one knows what happened to the colonists.

Summary

The Challenger Disaster by Mary Jones

 

By 1984, NASA, the United States space program, had carried out many successful flights of the space shuttle. In fact, Americans were beginning to take the whole NASA program for granted. Then, the president announced that the next shuttle would carry a school teacher into space. Hundreds of teachers from all parts of the country applied for the job. They all wanted to be “the first teacher in space.” During the next year, these adventurous educators were tested and examined and trained. At last, the choice was announced. A teacher from New Hampshire, Christa MacAuliffe, would be the first teacher-astronaut.

Summary: Christa Mac Auliffe would be the first teacher-astronaut.

Many months of preparation and training followed the announcement. First, Christa went through intensive physical training. She had to be in top condition for the flight. Then she learned how to operate some of the delicate instruments on the Challenger space shuttle. Christa planned special lesions, which she would teach from space. Finally, she trained with the astronauts, so they could work as a team in space.

Everyone knows what happened on that terrible day in January, 1986. Early in the morning, the Challenger crew had a good breakfast and discussed their plans. They made sure they understood all of the work they would be doing during the flight. Later, they boarded a special

van, which carried them to the shuttle. The weather was rather cold, and some NASA officials wondered if they should put off the flight. After some discussion, they decided to go ahead. The Challenger took off over the Atlantic Ocean in Florida. Minutes later, it exploded in the air. All the crew members died in the crash.

Summary: The Challenger exploded in the air after a minutes aired.

Book Report

Charlie and The Great Glass Elevator

Charlie and The Great Glass Elevator is a sequel book from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, continuing the story od Charlie Bucket and Willy Wonka the owner of the great chocolate factory. This childern’s book is written by Ronald Dahl and Quentin Blake as ilustrator. 

This book tells us about Charlie’s adventure with The Great Glass Elevator. After Charlie got the ownership of Willy Wonka’s chocolate vactory they crash trough the roof of Charlie’s family’s house in a flaying Elevator to inform the good news to his family and to take them to the Charlie’s chocolate factory. But when they’re heading to the factory, Grandma Josephine draws Willy Wonka concentration to controls the elevator and sent them into extra-atmospheric orbit. Wonka’s Elevator was not the only thing orbitin gin that particular time. There are United States of America’s Space Hotel called “U.S.A.”

When Wonka’s elevator going dock with the Space Hotel, the Transport Capsule containing the entire staff for Space Hotel and the guests who heading to the Space Hotel saw that and inform it to Ground Control. In the White House, President of the United States Lancelot R. Gilligrass and his staff thought that Charlie and the others was an astrounaut in disguise that going to blow up the Space Hotel

On the Hotel, when the President talks trough radio link to warn Wonka and the others, suddenly a gigantic amoeba called Vermicious Knids came up. Recognising the dangerous, Wonka orders everybody to leave the Space Hotel. When they’re leaving the Space Hotel, the Transport Capsule aboard and the Knids chase for them. As Wonka save the Transport Capsule, they are success to return the Elevator to Earth.

On Charlie factory, Wonka gave Charlie’s Grandparents a rejuvenator pil that can makes their young again called Wonka-Vite. But the problem is they took the pil to much and lose eighty years that making Grandpa George one year old, Grandma Josephine three months, and Grandma Georgina disappear. Then Charlie have to journey in the Great Glass Elevator to Minusland where Wonka restores Grandma Georgina with Vita-Wonk formula. Using this formula either, Grandpa George and Grandma Josephine will be able to back to their original age. 

This is good to read to you who loved adventure story and curious about Charlie’s adventure after got the ownership of Wonka’s Chocolate Factory.

Movie Review: Exam (2009)

Exam is a physchological thriller film directed by Hazeldine and written by Simon Garrity and Stuart Hazeldine. Starring by Luke Malby, Nathalie Cox, John Lloyd Fillingham, Jimi Mistry and Adar Beck. With the runtime 101 minuts, this film tells about 8 candidates who did the final test to gets the important position in a mysterious and powerfull corporation.

Locked together in an exam room, they seated in a different desk and given an exam paper and a few simple rules. The Invigilator explains the rules that they can't talk to the administrator or the armed guard at the door, spoil their paper, or leave the room. If they do that, they will be disqualified. There is no laws in the room. The only laws is the rules.

There's only one question and one answer is required. They only need to answer the question in 80 minutes to pass the test. It seems like a simple test, but it's not so simple. As the time started they turns their paper but there is no question there, no writing, and no clue what is the next step. 

One of the candidates immediately disqualified for spoiling her paper by writing "I believe I deserve...". The remaining candidates realize that they can talk to each other and they decide to work together to figure out wht is the question and then they can compete to answer it. The candidates tried anything to reveal the question on the paper. They use the light, body fluids, and fire sprinkles but nothing happened. The tensions begin to rise as the time is running out and the candidates become desperate to figure out what the queston is.

So what is the real question? Who is finally passes the exam and gets the job?

This film is interesting. It makes you wondering abput what is going on and what the question is. It's unpredictable and one worth watching film.
